Edinburgh Napier University

Championing culture in Scotland’s Festival City

Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland’s leading modern university (Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025 ), is more than a place of learning – it's a vibrant global community, connecting nearly 20,000 students from over 145 countries.

Our longstanding partnership celebrates our shared commitment to championing international culture in Scotland and shaping Edinburgh as a dynamic place to live, work and study.

Through our partnership, Napier has sponsored sold-out performances of world-class artistry. From piano superstar Yuja Wang to the renowned London Symphony Orchestra presented by Festival Director Nicola Benedetti, these performances highlight Napier’s commitment to artistic excellence and a passion for cultural exploration.

Partnership with the Edinburgh International Festival enables Napier to:

  • Position themselves at the heart of Edinburgh’s festival season
  • Connect with the Festival’s local and global audiences
  • Engage their alumni community with memorable experiences and hospitality
  • Host their guests with hot tickets and the best seats in the house
  • Enhance their exclusive events with expert insight from our programming team

Beyond August, our partnership has opened up career-boosting opportunities for students through paid roles in our Event Team.

Napier’s Festival & Event Management students have been integral to our Festival hospitality, delivering seamless stewardship and events for our donors, artists and stakeholders. These seasonal contracts not only provide hands-on experience in event management but also support academic development, creating the festival planners of the future.
