Rising Stars gives the world’s most promising young musicians a chance to shine on an international stage.
Chosen via audition, we unite up-and-coming musicians with professional mentors and their peers.
Following an exhilarating rehearsal period, these Rising Stars take to the stage during the Edinburgh International Festival, offering the world a glimpse at the future of classical music.
Emerging talent opportunities 2025
As part of Edinburgh International Festival 2025, we are continuing Rising Stars; our Emerging Talent initiative, which provides early career classical musicians with professional development opportunities.
We have three new opportunities for woodwind, strings and singers.
Since the introduction of the Rising Stars programme in 2023 we have:
Supported 29 emerging musicians
Enrolled 10 mentors
Hosted 7 performances
Sold 1350 tickets

Previous Events
It has been the most important professional experience i have ever had. Everything was special about this project, the mentors were incredible musicians and The Hub is a unique venue to perform, so intimate and cozy, it allows a unique connection with the audience.
