Tickets for this year’s Festival go on sale this Thursday, and to celebrate, we’re putting on a series of free performances throughout the city!

Scattered amongst some of Edinburgh’s most iconic locations you’ll find a GIANT Festival brochure, with a world-class performer inside.

Between Thursday 21 – Sunday 24 March, look out for our friendly staff who will give you a brochure and tell you more about this year’s Festival. Each day you can enjoy exclusive performances, all for free.

And if that’s not enough, you’ll be in with the chance of winning Edinburgh International Festival’s coveted ‘Yellow Ticket’, which gives you an all-expenses paid opening weekend package - a GIANT prize!

Thursday 21 March

Venue: Our Festival home, The Hub on Castle Hill
Performer: Breabach from 12noon

Plus our box office is open from 11.30am for you to buy your tickets in person. You can even enjoy a free coffee or tea from City View Coffee with your ticket purchase on the day.

Friday 22 March

Venue: St Andrew’s Square
Performer: Scottish Ballet Youth Exchange from 1pm

Saturday 23 March

Venue: St James Quarter shopping centre (indoors)
Performer: Soprano Emma Morwood from 12noon

Sunday 24 March

Venue: Usher Hall (external)
Performer: Festival Director Nicola Benedetti from 1pm. She’ll play a short excerpt of The Lark Ascending on her violin and stick around to answer your questions on her hot picks of the Festival.
