Renée Fleming & Hartmut Höll
Grammy award-winning American soprano Renée Fleming joins German pianist Hartmut Höll for a wide-ranging concert of classical song.
American soprano Renée Fleming is one of classical music’s superstars. She has a voice that conductor Sir Georg Solti described as being ‘like double cream’ and has received countless ovations in opera houses and concert halls across the world. She’s sold more than two million records, been nominated for 17 Grammy awards, and has been described as one of the greatest singers in history. Fleming has sung in Elvish for the soundtrack of The Return of the King, been praised for a superb album of rock classics and is the only classical vocalist to have sung at the Super Bowl.
Though her repertoire stretches to jazz, musical theatre and chanson, this is a rare opportunity to appreciate Fleming’s remarkable talents while joined by German pianist Hartmut Höll, in an intimate recital of classical song.
Fleming and Höll bring together the dramatic clarity of Handel, the lyrical charm of Fauré and the Romantic opulence of Strauss.
