Neu! Reekie! with Edwyn Collins, Darren McGarvey & more
Neu! Reekie! presents a one-off happening in their distinct avant-garde style.
Neu! Reekie! is a prize-winning literary collective and arts production house that has been curating and producing cross-culture shows in and around Scotland and internationally for over ten years. They’ve taken over national galleries, museums and television networks, while programming events alongside the likes of Edinburgh International Festival, The Mayor of London’s Borough of Culture and Hull City of Culture.
They bring an all-star group to this year’s Festival, headed by Orange Juice front man & Scottish singer/songwriter royalty, Edwyn Collins (with his band). The Orwell Prize-winning author of Poverty Safari, hip-hop artist, Darren McGarvey performs a unique set accompanied by multi-talented Scottish songwriter and producer Becci Wallace, with the exciting poet Victoria McNulty completing the line-up. The night is hosted by prize-winning poets Michael Pedersen and Kevin Williamson.
Neu! Reekie! dismantle the structures and snobberies dividing high and low art - art is for everyoneThe Skinny
