Healing Arts Scotland - Visually Impaired Programme at the Portrait
Join us at the National Galleries of Scotland for a short, conversational, descriptive tour in the gallery, giving a flavour of how artworks can be accessible for blind and partially sighted audiences.
Afterwards, enjoy a conversation between participants and members of the creative team behind the National Gallery’s Visually Impaired Programme. Storyteller Anne Dignan, visual artist and art group leader Alan McIntyre will discuss their connections to the gallery and the role that art and creativity plays in their lives.
This session will be chaired by visually impaired access consultant Kirin Saeed.
For more information about the programme, Maro Psyrra and Meg Faragher, Communities and Access Learning Coordinators will take part in a Q and A at the end of the session.
Visually Impaired: Creatives in Conversation + Visually Impaired Taster Tour is at the Portrait (Farmer Learning Room) organised by the National Galleries of Scotland Learning & Engagement.
