Field- Something for the Future Now
Directed by Christine Devaney and featuring an ensemble of Edinburgh-based performers, Field is an immersive, uplifting work that has Arthur’s Seat as its backdrop.
Field is a durational outdoor dance-happening conceived in a physically distanced world.
With the majestic Arthur’s Seat as a backdrop, performers respond to the surrounding landscape and each other by following a series of movement and live sound scores.
Two inspiring groups will make a guest appearance: Dance Base’s PRIME, Scotland's first semi-professional dance company for the over 60s, and Lyra, an Edinburgh-based company making live performances for and with young people.
There's enough room for everyone to immerse themselves in this uplifting work and the beautiful Holyrood Park provides the perfect setting for a joyful celebration.
Audiences are welcome to come and go as they wish during the four-hour performance time.
Made possible through the PLACE programme.
