Despite the alarming evidence of global heating, many refuse to despair. Greta Thunberg is among them and her activism has inspired people worldwide as she has shown how ordinary people can take on the establishment.
To create The Climate Book, Thunberg called on the wisdom of over 100 experts, including scientists, artists, Indigenous leaders and those living on the frontline of climate change, to tell the truth about our changing world. Thunberg joins us for a special event at the Edinburgh Playhouse to outline how collective action – and hope – will serve us in the urgent fight for our planet's welfare.
This unique event will be chaired by Gemma Cairney and is sponsored by the Open University in Scotland and presented in association with Edinburgh International Book Festival.
It’s Not Too Late to Change the World will be part of a climate-focussed strand of events at this year’s Edinburgh International Book Festival, with full details to be announced alongside the full programme on 14 June.
