AT HOME: Scottish Ballet – Edinburgh is a Story
Watch Scottish Ballet dancer James Garrington perform an exclusive commission choreographed by Nicholas Shoesmith in the concluding chapter of our Edinburgh is a Story film series.
This stunning ballet commission celebrates the elements of earth, water and air in a daring exhibition of the physical power, poise and elegance of the art form. Scottish Ballet artist James Garrington dances atop the towering, dense stone structure of the National Monument on Calton Hill, across the airy Braid Hills to the south and along the expanse of sand and sea at Portobello Beach. This piece was commissioned exclusively for our digital series Edinburgh is a Story, all filmed in iconic locations around the city.
Edinburgh is a Story is part of our At Home series in partnership with abrdn. Find out more about At Home.
