Philharmonia Virtual Reality Experience
Head to our new Community Connections Hub to become totally immersed in the Philharmonia Orchestra though a Virtual Reality headset. In a 360° experience, you can encounter the musical talent of the Philharmonia Orchestra and our Festival Director and world-leading violinist, Nicola Benedetti. This Philharmonia VR Experience is a UK premiere featuring Ralph Vaughan Williams’s much-loved The Lark Ascending.
The VR experience lasts 20 minutes and we can welcome 10 audience members at a time. When you arrive, you will be allocated a time slot, and will have time to enjoy activities designed by Philharmonia, to bring you deeper into the world of the orchestra.
Space @ The Broomhouse Hub is the Edinburgh International Festival’s inaugural Community Connections Hub, an 18-month partnership exploring opportunities for creative collaboration and connection between with the Festival. This VR experience will be staffed by graduates and members of Space Station, an entry level skills development course designed to support local people into the hospitality sector.
