As Far As Impossible

Why would you risk your life to save others? Through captivating storytelling, As Far As Impossible reveals the motivations of humanitarian workers who work every day in dangerous environments to save the lives of strangers.

Weaving together real stories from international aid workers, with histories of manmade and natural disasters, director Tiago Rodrigues creates an enthralling, touching, and sometimes unexpectedly humorous, piece of documentary style theatre.

In an intimate multilingual performance, with live music throughout, Rodrigues explores the dilemmas faced by those who come and go between troubled intervention zones and their own peaceful homes.

Writer and Director Tiago Rodrigues talks about the human stories, sourced from aid workers , that he used to create his work As Far As Impossible, and “the beauty of telling sad stories” that lies at the heart of theatre.
