Django Django
Genre-blurring band Django Django are joined by C Duncan and Free Love (formerly known as Happy Meals) for an evening of heavy hitting pop acts at Light on the Shore with Edinburgh Gin Seaside.
Three heavy hitting pop acts, all made in Scotland, come together for this dazzling indie line-up. Django Django met while studying at Edinburgh College of Art and have gone on to put out three albums of multicoloured, psychedelic synthpop, often with matching patterned outfits and DIY videos to accompany them. Glasgow’s C Duncan studied composition at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland before being nominated for the Mercury Prize for his gauzy dreampop debut album, Architect. While Suzanne Rodden and Lewis Cook, aka Free Love (formerly known as Happy Meals), draw from sultry French chanson, woozy disco and cosmic, meditative grooves for their blend of addictive electronic jams, which were nominated for the Scottish Album of the Year.
