Wheelchair spaces on the ground floor at the centre and sides of the Hall. The gallery is not accessible to wheelchair users and may be difficult for people with mobility difficulties to reach. We are able to advise when you make your booking.

Edinburgh Festival Theatre
13 - 29 Nicolson Street

Single yellow lines and Pay and Display spaces on side streets. There are double yellow lines outside the theatre on Nicolson Street. As it is a main traffic route there is no parking between 7.30am and 6.30pm.

There is a pavement ramp, or six steps with one handrail, at the front of theatre. 

Level access is available at a side entrance if required. 

There is lift access to all levels of the theatre which has a voice announcement.

Wheelchair spaces are available in the centre stalls. Large parties are welcome. 

Sennheiser infra-red system is available in all areas of the auditorium. Receivers for use either with or without a hearing aid are available; please ask any member of front of house staff if you would like to use this service. Headsets can be collected from the cloakroom. 

Levels one, two and three of the theatre all have accessible unisex toilets with emergency call buttons. 

The café has level access on the ground floor and all bars have lift access. 

Guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcome. 

There is Braille and tactile signage throughout the building.

King's Theatre
2 Leven Street

There is limited single yellow line parking on Tarvit Street approximately 30 metres away and in the side streets opposite the theatre. 

There is ramped access adjacent to the Box Office or three steps to the main entrance. 

Level wheelchair access to the auditorium is at the side of the Theatre. Please ring the door bell to gain access.

Four wheelchair spaces are available in the stalls. Please enter through the side of theatre, ring the bell to gain access.

Sennheiser infra-red system is available on request. Receivers for use with or without a hearing aid are available and can be collected from the main foyer. 

Unisex accessible toilet is available on stalls level. 

Bars on all levels are only accessible by stairs. However, theatre staff are available to bring refreshments to those who require assistance. Please request this service before to the start of the performance.

The Edinburgh Playhouse
18 - 22 Greenside Place

There are single yellow lines to rear of theatre or Pay and Display across the road on Picardy Place and Union Place. There is also a 24hr NCP car park with lift access located next to the theatre at Greenside Place.

There is ramped access or three steps at the front doors.

There is level access for wheelchair users to positions in the front section of the rear of the circle. We recommend that people with mobility difficulties sit in the circle as this is the most accessible level.

Sennheiser infra-red system is available in all areas of the auditorium. Receivers for use either with or without a hearing aid are available. Please note that a £10 deposit is required which will be returned at the end of the performance. Please contact the Duty Manager for headsets. 

There is a unisex accessible toilet at circle level. There is also a unisex ambulant disabled toilet on the mezzanine level.

The bar situated at the circle level is accessible to wheelchair users, as is the merchandise kiosk and the circle kiosk which serves confectionery.

Royal Lyceum Theatre
Grindlay Street

There are two disabled badge spaces on the north west side of Cornwall Street. The NCP car park is nearby on Castle Terrace. Please note there is no vehicular access to Cambridge Street and Grindlay Street.

There is level access to double doors.

There is lift access to all levels of the theatre. 

Wheelchair spaces are available in the rear stalls which have been levelled and raised. Seats at some row ends incorporate removable arm rests for easy transferral. A selection of specially designed supports and footrests are available.

There is an induction loop system on all levels of the auditorium. This can be used with or without a hearing aid, and receivers are available at the Box Office. 

Hearing enhancement system is available. Receivers for use without a hearing aid can be collected from the information and shop area.

A fully accessible unisex toilet is available on the ground floor. 

The restaurant has level access through a single door and has removable seats. The theatre bars are all fully accessible with lift access to each. A wheelchair lift is located in the foyer for access to the Howard Bar.

Single yellow line parking is available on Candlemaker Row. There is a private car park within the church grounds for blue badge holders only, with access less than 20 metres from the entrance. Please call the Kirk on 0131 225 1900 to reserve these spaces in advance (subject to availability). 

There is flat tarmac access to a double door with help always available.

Wheelchair spaces available. All public areas of the Kirk are suitable for wheelchair users. 

There is an adapted toilet with grab rails, which is suitable for wheelchair users is available.

The Royal Highland Centre is situated adjacent to Edinburgh International Airport, west of the city. It can be accessed by car from the A8 dual carriageway, from which it is sign-posted. Free parking is available to Faust ticket holders. The venue can also be reached by bus, and is serviced by both First Bus and Lothian Buses.

Lothian Buses: No.35; Airport Express No.100; (Drop off just off at A8/Airport junction, beside Eastfield Road)

Free parking spaces available are available in the North Car Park. 

There is level access to the venue at ground level.

There is a public car park on Castle Terrace, which is downhill from The Hub, off Johnston Terrace. There is no parking on Johnston Terrace or Castlehill during the Edinburgh Military Tattoo from 7 to 29 August 2009. However, Hub ticket holders can be dropped off on Johnstone Terrance for ease of access.

There is level or lift access to all public areas of the building. Counters in Hub Tickets are at a suitable height for wheelchair users.

The Main Hall is fully accessible with wheelchair spaces available.

There is an induction loop system in Hub Tickets and the Main Hall.

There is an accessible unisex toilet with emergency pull cord on the ground floor and one up three steps or using a stair lift.

The Dean Gallery
Belford Road

The Dean Gallery is north west of Edinburgh city centre, approximately 10 minutes walk from Haymarket train station. There is free parking for gallery visitors. The Gallery can also be reached by Lothian Buses number 13, which drops off outside the grounds.

Wheelchair access to the Gallery itself is from the car park at the rear entrance. Near this entrance is a specially adapted toilet and lift. All parts of the building are accessible by wheelchair.

There are four disabled parking bays available in the car park, immediately outside the accessible entrance to the gallery.

There is a ramped entrance to the gallery which is at the rear of the building. It is easily reachable from the car park. 

There is lift access to all levels of the gallery. 

An induction loop system available in the shop and café.

Ross Theatre and Princes Street Gardens

Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert
Sunday 6 September 9.00pm

Vehicle access to the neighbouring streets is restricted on the evening of the Fireworks Concert. The nearest available parking is at the NCP car park on Castle Terrace. 

Level access to the Ross Theatre is approximately 200 metres from the King's Stables Road entrance.
To avoid congestion on the access paths you are advised to arrive before 8.00pm. There are wheelchair spaces available in the Ross Theatre, at the front of the seating bank.

In Princes Street Gardens, wheelchair spaces with space for one companion are available in a specially designated area behind the Ross Theatre seating. Space for additional companions is provided immediately in front of the wheelchair area, please ask a steward on the night for access. Please let us know if you would like to use either of these areas when you book tickets for the Ross Theatre or Princes Street Gardens.

There are disabled toilet facilities in the disabled viewing area and behind the Ross Theatre. A wheelchair accessible toilet is also available in the public toilets at the West End of the Gardens.

Please note that the Gardens have no specialised facilities and that the area becomes very crowded. This combined with the noisy fireworks, means that it is not advisable to bring guide dogs and hearing dogs to this event as it may cause them distress.

There will be part of the Visual Arts programme which will take place in different locations around the streets of Edinburgh. Mensch by Juan Cruz will be delivered via Bluetooth transmission in a series of central locations.
